*Personal information protection

1.) General provisions

The Kyoto Ryokan Hotel Association (Here on referred to as the association, being fully aware that private information is extremely important for the privacy of our customers, shall ensure that our Directors, Executives and all employees comply with all applicable laws, regulations and in-house regulations in respect of private information and make every endeavor to protect that information.

2.) [Personal Information] – Definition

“Personal Information” means the information about a living individual, which contains the name, the date of birth and/or any other descriptions by which a specific individual can be identified (including information that can be easily collated with other information so that a specific individual can be identified).

3.) Privacy policy and third party endorsement

Other than these entities, who act on our behalf, information you provide will not be transferred to unrelated third parties.

1.) How We Share and Disclose Personal information
Personal Information will not be released without full consent of the customer.
2.) Information may be subject to disclosure pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants or orders.
3.) Personal information may be disclosed in the case that life is at stake and are not able to retrieve authorization.
4.) Effort ill be made that Information disclosed will be up to date and accurate.
5.) The entity considered by the Government decree to be unlikely to cause serious damages to the rights and the interests of individuals, in view of the amount of the personal information handled by it and the way of using such information.
6.) The association will make all reasonable efforts to respond promptly whenever a customer contacts the association with an inquiry about personal information provided by that customer or with a request for changes relating to that information.
7.) The association will comply with applicable ordinances and guidelines regarding protection of personal information in our possession, and will continue to enhance the company's Privacy Policy as occasion may demand.
